The National Veterans Network visited the Fresno/Clovis community on April 30. 

Christine Sato-Yamazaki, executive director of NVN, gave a presentation of the I Am An American: The Nisei Soldier Experience Traveling Exhibit to 95 attendees at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District and shared a preview of the exhibit that will showcase the soldiers of the U.S. Army’s 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd RCT, and Military Intelligence Service during World War II. Many Japanese American Nisei soldiers came from farming families who resided in Central California before and after the war. The 11-city traveling exhibit will launch in February 2026.
