The Nisei Soldier

In 2016, the NVN celebrated the launch of a digital exhibition celebrating the military service of the Japanese American Nisei soldiers. This joint project produced in partnership with the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, is an object-based educational exhibition that features the life stories of twelve Nisei soldiers who served while their families were incarcerated in concentration camps.
